Six spinning friends rented a house in Rhinebeck, NY this October to tour the New York Sheep & Wool Festival. Thousands upon thousands of people attended and we saw some great fashions, yarns, designs, books and displays. And, judging from the crowds, interest in the fiber arts and in making things is very much alive. We spent hours and hours, walking and touring, looking and touching, striking up conversations and admiring textiles. Back at our spa, we had a glass of wine, soaked weary feet in a hot tub, exchanged knitting and cooking ideas, and celebrated a birthday. A fabulous time was had by all. Great job vendors of the 2014 Rhinebeck show.
